Community Outreach
Resource connecting is the name of the game. One of the means of resource distribution is through our community outreach. Our most common form of outreach is door-to-door. Safe & Sound executes conversations with residents and youth at their front doors through on-the-ground mobilization of our Neighborhood Organizers and neighborhood teams. The goal of outreach is to meet and build relationships with the residents in the neighborhoods we serve, listen and learn about their needs, and provide information on or direct them to a resource to help. During outreach, organizers bring with them a variety of resources to hand out. Amongst those resources you will often find information about upcoming events, job openings and fairs, youth programming, and food pantries, to name a few.
We often collect data to follow up with residents and to help guide our future work in the neighborhoods we serve. The flyers and resources are ever changing to meet the unique needs of each neighborhood.
Safe & Sound is in the business of connecting, so if there’s something you’re looking for, please reach out to your community organizer.
